3D models

We have spent considerable time and effort working to create 3D models of all of the objects from Ava’s burial. This includes the cist itself (using 30 year old archival images), the cattle scapula, the Beaker and Ava’s remains themselves. Below is a gallery of every object in 3D from the burial, hosted through Sketchfab. These have been created using a mixture of laser scanning and photogrammetry. They have been made by Adeola Fabola, Josie Wallace and Maya Hoole.

The following models of Ava’s bone have all been created by Josie Wallace when she was an undergraduate student at the University of Edinburgh using laser scanning techniques, for her undergraduate dissertation topic.
